Sea Containers House

We were instructed by WPP to provide project management, contract administration and cost management services in relation to the 226,000 sqft CAT A and B refurbishment of the iconic Sea Containers House. The building provides an agile working environment for Ogilvy and MEC who share facilities on Level 13, 12 and Ground. The design incorporates a large amphitheatre and roof terrace which are capable of hosting large congregations of people for business and social events. A number of new staircases were designed into the building to increase connectivity between floors and departments and give the tenants more agile creative working space.

The project won both the BCO Regional and National awards for innovation in 2017. The judges commented “The conversion of a much beleaguered but well-known iconic London building is an example of what can be achieved by innovative design and the clever application of ideas. The look and feel of the building has been transformed and this is reflected in the interaction between the businesses that work there.

This regenerated office building has changed working practices and will help the business prosper and attract and retain the best staff
